Commanding American forces you must survive the massive initial German onslaught to launch a successful counterattack from the flanks with reinforcements to cut off and destroy the last big German offensive in the Second World War.

 Taking place from: 1944-12
 Map size: 1600 = 40 x 40
Specials: Initial defensive phase before switching to attack as reinforcements pour in
 Released: 2011-11

WELCOME:

The Allies, feeling that the war against Germany is won already, are taking it easy. On 16th of December, Generals Eisenhower and Bradley are at a party, and General Montgomery is playing golf. Meanwhile, German HQ unleashes a large-scale surprise attack against the quiet American front located in Ardennes.

Your first task is to survive the initial German onslaught, known as the Ardennes Offensive, while keeping your Divisions in fighting order. After regrouping, you must contain the German attack and prevent the enemy from reaching Brussels, as this would allow them a route to the strategic port city of Antwerp. Once you have stopped the enemy offensive, push back the German units and destroy as many as possible.

VICTORY CONDITIONS:

The game is over if:_— Germans reach over 150 VPs, or_— Player control OVER than 190 VPs.

QUICK TIPS: Settings: You can change hexagon size, city icons, unit icons, and many other aspects from settings, or via the four round buttons in the upper-left corner of the gaming view. Unit markings: Lower left corner shows HPs (Hit Points), upper left corner shows the number of MPs (move points), right side has several type of markings: warnings on red, attached resources on white, ground information (what's under unit icon) is marked on green. Zooms buttons (Z) are located on upper-left corner. Combat core concepts: adjacent units critically support each other in battle: encircling is often more efficient than using brute-force direct attacks.

CAMPAIGN NOTES:

Victory Conditions: Player wins when German side controls LESS THAN 10 Victory Points (VPs) or to put it the other way, when player controls OVER 190 Victory Points, which are gained from the cities.

Campaign specific setting: There is Infantry-or-Jeep switch to decide how to depict US infantry units.

This is an older campaign with a smaller size of game area, so there are no Generals (would give player too much movement and bonuses) and resting is done in rear area cities (instead of hospitals).

Some of the newer code mentions 'province', but since this small-scale game does not include actual provinces with borders, this usually implies to hexagons within the range of two from the city.

Some slightly incorrect military-history terms (like Fort for minor dugouts) are used simply because they are short (map won't be flooded with long text tags) and these terms are known to even non-native English speakers.

BUG REPORTS:

Since this series supports 20,000 Android devices and countless settings and strategies, it’s impossible to test every combination. If you spot anything off, just tap my pic on the main screen to send me an email.
