ARDENNES OFFENSIVE specific documentation
Specialty of this scenario is various ways move points can be manipulated but in a way that requires long term planning.
German Supply Depot = German Supply Depots will give the closest unit (within reasonable range) +1 MP each turn. However, if the enemy captures German Supply Depot, all the nearby German units will lose 0-4 MPs. Shown as DE marker on a unit located over German Supply Depot.
US Fuel Depot: US Fuel Depot will, when seized, give extra MPs and some various resources. The US Fuel Depot will be removed from the play after it has been seized. Shown as FU marker on unit which is located over US Fuel Depot.
PanzerFaust (PF) = Portable rocket antitank weapon.
GERMAN UNIT TYPES:
German Infantry: Regular Werhmacht infantry division. Usually most +1 HP replacements arrive as basic infantry.
Volksgrenadier: Weak German infantry division, more likely to withdraw under pressure.
Parachute: German Parachute division (more hit points than regular infantry).
WSS: Strong Motorized WSS division.
Tank IV: Panzer division (Panzer IVs).
Tank V: Stronger Panzer division (Panzer IVs - Panthers).
Tank VI: Tanks of an SS division (Panzer VIs - Tigers), extra bonus vs enemy tank units. Less HP, Two move points.
AMERICAN/ALLIED UNIT TYPES:
US/UK Infantry: Regular infantry division, due to high level of motorization all these were basically motorized units.
US/UK Airborne: Strong paratrooper division, more likely to hold their ground under pressure.
M4 (Sherman) tank unit: American Armored division.
Cromwell tank unit: British Armoured division.
M18 Tank Destroyer unit: Smaller units with mostly defensive bonus against enemy tank formations.
M1 57mm Antitank Guns: Smaller infantry-speed units with defensive bonus against enemy tank formations.
Artillery: Bombards nearby units (miss, MP hit, HP hit), can relocate, and sometimes manages to escape if enemy unit moves over it. Capturing might give some resources as a reward.
