Live through the German push to seize the Capital of the Soviet Union, an extremely critical railway junction, before the winter closes in. Horrible weather, countless rivers, multiple defense lines, and the stubborn resistance by the Red Army, which received reinforcements of both quality (Siberians and T-34 tanks) and quantity (numerous local defense divisions), eventually ate up the German ability to advance any further.

WELCOME:
The Battle of Moscow 1941 is a turn based strategy game set on the European Theater of the Second World War. Re-live the classic strategy game campaign in which German Army's Panzer Armies pushed through the Red Army defense lines towards the Soviet Capital in 1941. Can you seize Moscow before fighting both the elements (mud, cold, rivers) and the counterattacks by Siberian and T-34 divisions grind German forces into pieces.
VICTORY CONDITIONS:
The object of the game is to BOTH capture Moscow and control OVER 120 Victory Points (VPs) as quickly as possible. A total of 140 Victory Points available in this particular campaign.
QUICK TIPS: Combat core concepts: adjacent units critically support each other in battle; encircling is often more efficient than using brute-force direct attacks. Unit markings: Lower left corner shows HPs (Hit Points), upper left corner shows the number of MPs (move points), right side has several type of markings: warnings on red, attached resources on white, ground information (what's under unit icon) is marked on green. Zooms buttons (Z) are located on upper-left corner. TMP-system: By controlling Key Tactical Locations (green diamonds) you will gain TMPs (Tactical Move Points), which can be used to move between two hexagons sharing Tactical Route (yellow-green arrow between the hexagons) without losing regular MPs. Settings: You can change hexagon size, city icons, unit icons, and many other aspects from settings, or via the four round buttons in the upper-left corner of the gaming view.
CAMPAIGN NOTES:
Victory Conditions: Control the city of Moscow AND over 120 Victory Points (VPs), which are gained from the cities. A total of 140 Victory Points available in this particular campaign.
Note: Army numbers of divisions vs double numbers: ALL the Panzer Army numbers are shown as letter P plus number, for example 2nd Panzer Army is P2 (since there are doubles like 3rd Panzer Army and 3rd Army).
When Strategic Resource is used, another strategic resource cannot be used during this or the next four turns.
Soviet T26 and cavalry units have 1 or 2 MPs per turn to represent both their movement and (lack of) reliability.
Some slightly incorrect military-history terms (like Fort for minor dugouts) are used simply because they are short (map won't be flooded with long text tags) and these terms are known to even non-native English speakers.
