WELCOME!
You are in command of the Allied force and trying to carry out a risky operation: creating a 100-km corridor across German-held territory to open up a route to the German industrial heartland and speed up the end of the Second World War. As the armored spearhead must advance through an area filled with rivers and canals, it is essential to deploy multiple airborne divisions to secure the key bridges to allow speedy advance. The airborne zones face multiple struggles, from seizing the fortified key bridges and defending them against German counterattacks to securing a big enough area for themselves to allow safe delivery of airdropped supplies. Can you prevent what historian Cornelius Ryan called 'the last great German victory of the war'.: VICTORY CONDITIONS: Control BOTH over 140 Victory Points (VPs, which are gained from the cities) and secondly open corridor from Neerpelt to Doetinchem via Arnhem. A total of 200 VPs are in play.
CAMPAIGN SPECIFIC FEATURES: Capturing the airfield north east of Arnhem will give the Allies three units as reinforcements over time. You can request various resources from the Resource Depots located at the bottom of the map. Only one strategic resource can be used per two turns. Airdrop supply number shows the number of units it can supply or how many turns it can supply one unit. Artillery consumes supply, General does not but still needs a route to supply source. Units with the most HP have priority over low HP units.
CAMPAIGN NOTES:
Victory Condition: Control BOTH over 140 Victory Points (VPs, which are gained from the cities) and an open corridor from Neerpelt to Doetinchem via Arnhem.
The airdrop supply number shows the number of units it can supply or how many turns it can supply one unit. Artillery consumes supply; General does not but still needs a route to the supply source. Units with the most HP have priority over low-HP units.
AIRFIELD: Capturing the airfield north east of Arnhem will give the Allies three units as reinforcements over time.
Movement: Please note that in this smaller scale campaign Armored units need bridge to cross a river.
Allied Generals who are in play are mainly drawn from airborne divisions or corps. Please note that various settings like %-chance of getting each general might affect this.
Only one strategic resource can be used every two turns. After selecting a strategic resource, you might need to tap either an own unit or an enemy unit or area to activate the selected strategic resource.
You can request various resources from the Resource Depots located at the bottom of the map, please remember to set the resources immediately to get the best possible support for your particular tactical style.
Generals do not consume supply from airdropped supplies (but they need to have a route to them).
Unused Typhoon strikes, Mustang recon flights, and airdrop supplies will expire between turns.
US and UK airborne replacements are separate, disbanding Polish airborne results regular infantry replacements.
The Polish landing will try to take place in an enemy area but not directly over a strong concentration of German units. Landing units include one combat unit, one general, one airdrop supply, and a minefield.
Some of the newer code mentions 'province', but since this small-scale game does not include actual provinces with borders, this usually implies to hexagons within the range of two from the city.
