Can Confederacy survive the war years of 1861-1865, or even win, in spite of the superior industry and manpower of the Union? In the SUPPLY mode units can only attack when they have ammo depots nearby, forcing players to think ahead before launching major offensives.

Taking place from: 1861-07
Map size: 1200 = 40 x 30
Specials: Depending on settings, possibility of a draw in 1866
Two game modes: In SUPPLY mode you need to buy and transport ammot depot near battles, plus carry gold to major cities

Released: 2011-09, small scale means there is fierce combat for the top spot in the hall of fame

You are in command of the Southern armies during the American Civil War. The object is to conquer the cities held by the Union or at least hold on to as much area as possible until the year 1866 begins.

VICTORY CONDITIONS: The game is over if:

Either side controls all the cities, or_

The year 1866 begins.

There are various events like rebellions, food riots, and Union landings, so nothing is guaranteed.

Trains and riverboats can transfer troops by going into the same hexagon and selecting LOAD. Zooms buttons (Z) are located on upper-left corner.

Science can give your ships and locomotives more move points, plus prevent breakdowns, communication issues, and disease outbreaks, as well as slow down fatigue increase and provide better intelligence information.

Southern Cities cannot be supplied via water due to Union superiority in Naval Warfare (occasional small ship getting through not really being enough to supply both arms and food for a large army in a city under siege).

Cities marked with (G) can receive gold.

Tip: Minimap: Disable via Minimap Size option

No separate artillery units since the scale of the map would make them a little bit ridiculous.

Some slightly incorrect military-history terms (like Fort for minor dugouts) are used simply because they are short (map won't be flooded with long text tags) and these terms are known to even non-native English speakers.

Some of the newer code mentions 'province', but since this small-scale game does not include actual provinces with borders, this usually implies to hexagons within the range of two from the city.
